Placement by year of graduation

In the last fifteen years, the department has graduated 82 PhD's.  70 of these students have found positions in teaching or academic administration:  18 are in tenured university or college positions, 28 are in tenure track positions at colleges or universities, 22 are in instructorships or other university adjunct positions, and 2 are in long-term positions in secondary education.  Many recent departmental graduates have also received prestigious post-doctoral fellowships from DAAD, Fulbright, the Dibner Institute and other sources.

The list below is intended to give prospective students a sense of where our graduates end up teaching.  In order to maintain privacy, only the title of dissertations are listed.  The information is, to our knowledge, accurate, but the department is not responsible for errors.  Please contact the departmental placement director with questions or updated information.
