Friday
Colloquium Series
The Friday Colloquia are a series of lectures
sponsored by the Department of Philosophy at
Boston University. Speakers normally provide
their paper a week or two in advance, and then
begin their presentation with a summary of the
paper. The audience should have already
read the paper. The remainder of the time
is devoted to discussion. Participants
may obtain copies of the speaker's paper by contacting
the Philosophy
Department. These colloquia, which are almost
always held on a Friday, run no longer than two
hours. Please check the Calendar
of Events page
periodically for updates to the 2007/2008 schedule.
The Ethics Reading Group meets on Friday as well, normally at lunch, and is frequently joined by invited speakers.
