Professor Klaus Brinkmann (1944-2016)
The Department is deeply saddened by the death of Professor Klaus Brinkmann, who passed away in Bonn, Germany on November 1. A scholar whose work focused on both German Idealism and Aristotle, Professor Brinkmann taught for more than two decades at BU and served the Department in a number of important administrative roles over the years, including as Interim Chair, Associate Chair and Director of Graduate Studies.
