Seminar Series lineup for Fall 2013 is complete

The Pharmaceuticals Program Seminar Series is a series taking place on Tuesday evenings from 5-6pm in room L210 in the BU School of Medicine. Attendance is required for all students admitted into the Pharmaceuticals Program.

In addition to being a forum for ad hoc lectures of topical relevance, the seminar series will host writing workshops, resume building/interview etiquette workshops, and will serve as a forum for students to present works in progress.

The Fall 2013 schedule is as follows:

September 3rd: Information session and introduction for new/interested students, and welcome back for current students.

September 17th: Presentation from Lisa Toby, Career Office on the job search in the realm of pharmaceuticals.

October 1st: Presentation from Jaime Stern, Director of Sales at Sproxil.

October 15th: Presentation from Vas Narasimhan, Global head, vaccines development for Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics.

October 22nd: Presentation from Richard Laing, from the World Health Organization.

October 29th: Presentation from current students who have recently completed pharmaceuticals practica.

November 12th: Quintiles information session and panel discussion.

November 19th: Presentation from Lesley Nguyen and Nga Tong, BUSPH alumni working at Novartis.

December 3rd: Presentation from Danielle Littee, BUSPH alum now working at Millennium Pharmaceuticals.
