Using an Outside ISP
When you are away from BU and using an outside ISP, you can still access your BU e-mail and many secured BU resources if you authenticate on the BU network as described below.
Using e-mail
Accessing BU-restricted resources
You can still access many BU resources by first connecting to the VPN. VPN is available to students, faculty, and staff who have shown their Boston University ID cards, in person, at 111 Cummington Street or the Medical Campus Library.
Most distance-learning students have not been to campus to show their BU IDs and, thus, will not have VPN access. However, distance learning students should be prompted to Web Login and will then be successful in using any resources that are available to them.
