About the program…
The MBTA’s Spring Semester Pass Program allows students to pre-pay their four monthly "T" passes (February 1 – May 31, 2009) and thereby receive approximately 11% off the regular monthly "T" pass prices. Additionally, students who participate in the Semester Pass program will be assured that their passes will be available for pickup on or after the 27th of each preceding month. (For example, the September Passes will ready for pickup on or after August 27; just in time for their September use.)
Passes will be available for monthly pick up from the Office of Parking & Transportation Services, which is located on the second floor of the George Sherman Union, 775 Commonwealth Avenue, unless on-campus mail room delivery is specified.*
* Eligible campus residents can choose to pick their monthly passes from their residence hall mail rooms but they must apply for their Semester Passes on-line and live in an eligible University housing facility to take advantage of the residence hall mailroom pick-up option.
To apply for a MBTA Student Semester Pass, go online to www.bu.edu/studentlink and select “MBTA Semester Pass” from the “Personal” tab menu; then login using your Boston University login name and Kerberos password and follow the on-screen instructions. If you do not have a BU login name and Kerberos password, select the “Basics” tab on the Student Link and then select “Read Me First/Getting Started” for instructions.
Credit card orders (MasterCard, Visa or Discover) and the posting semester pass charges to an applicant’s student account are the only payment methods allowed to secure online Semester Pass purchases. All cash payments must be transacted at the Office of Parking & Transportation Services, located on the second floor of the George Sherman Union, 775 Commonwealth Avenue. If you wish to make a cash transaction, please complete this Spring 2009 Form (not yet available) and bring it with you to the Parking & Transportation Services office along with your payment.
