Welcome
Parking & Transportation Services (PTS) is responsible for maintaining all parking facilities and marked spaces on the University’s Charles River Campus.
To members of the Boston University community, we offer a wide variety of parking permits and information about event parking accommodations and restrictions. The University’s parking regulations are also available on this site.
To bring discounted or tax-sheltered public transportation rates to the University’s community, PTS administers the Student Semester Pass and employee Corporate Charlie Card/Commuter Rail Pass programs for the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MTBA). You will find complete information about these programs on the subsequent pages.
PTS administers and maintains separate websites for the Boston University Shuttle (The BUS) service, bicycle safety, and parking and registration programs. Please visit these sites if you are interested in either of these transportation options.
Boston University’s urban setting provides significant benefits to faculty, staff and students. Yet, this setting brings with it a general shortage of parking facilities. In light of this, and consistent with the University’s commitment to the environment, all members of the community are encouraged to explore alternate commuting methods. By using public transportation, carpooling, vanpooling, bicycling, or walking you may reduce your commuting costs, improve your health and have a positive impact upon our environment.
