MassRides, a government organization for alternative commuting methods, has a variety of tools that may be useful in planning your commute to work. Their goals are to:

• help you share your rides in carpools or vanpools

• give you new ways to feel good about your health
• help you bring smart transportation programs to your workplace
• reduce traffic congestion within your community or at your worksite
• reduce pollution in your community

Commuting Calculator: A tool where you plug in the requested information and receive an estimated cost of your Commute.

Van Pool: A ride match type page where you can search for a van pool that may go to and through your area.

NuRide: the nation’s largest rewards program for individuals who take greener trips — walking, biking, carpooling, vanpooling, public transportation, or even telecommuting. NuRide is a free service and is supported by sponsors who provide special offers to NuRide members for taking greener trips and reducing global warming, traffic congestion and energy consumption.
