The one-year pilot program will run on all subway lines, the Silver Line and 15 of the T’s busiest bus routes until 3 a.m. on weekends. According to the state, the 15 late-night bus routes will be: 1, 15, 22, 23, 28, 32, 39, 57, 66, 71, 73, 77, 111, 116 and 117
Also in the article from WBUR is a glimmer of hope in regards to twenty-four hour service from MBTA General Manager Beveryl Scott :
Eventually, Scott said she envisions a 24-hour public transportation agency in Greater Boston, but she admits that’s a long way off. She calls Thursday’s announcement the first step in many to reaching that goal.
“I call it like Pac Man,” she said. “You don’t try to eat the elephant all at one time.”
