MBTA expanding CharlieCard offerings – 4/11/11
The MBTA has announced that beginning this Spring, Inner and Outer Express Bus passes are now available to faculty and staff on CharlieCards. Inner and Outer Express Bus Passes are valid for travel on the Local Bus, Subway, Inner Harbor Ferry and Commuter Rail Zone 1A. Currently, CharlieCards can only be read by the busses and subway gates. Therefore, if you use your Inner or Outer Express Bus Pass to ride the Inner Harbor Ferry or Commuter Rail Zone 1A, you will need to continue using a monthly ticket for inspection on these modes where the CharlieCard is not yet readable.
