FitRock Boulder Competition

Welcome to our Fifth Annual BU FitRock Climbing Comp! This year we have made some awesome changes to our event including fresh boulder problems set by our Head Routesetter and supported by some amazing professionals and climbing wall staff, new holds and a more inclusive youth division (now open to ages 8-17). We hope you are as stoked as we are! The competition will take place on Friday, January 31. Registration will be open to beginner, intermediate and advanced climbers of all abilities, and prizes will be awarded to the climbers with the highest scores of each division. The event will culminate in a final showdown of the top 3 advanced male and female climbers, starting at 9:30PM. Please note that in accordance with recommendations from the Office of Civil Rights in the U.S. Department of Education, individuals participating in this competition may do so in accordance with their gender identity, should that be relevant, regardless of any medical treatments. Non-binary students are encouraged to participate in the division(s) in which they find most suitable. We encourage any and all climbers to contact Julia Bair, Manager of Outdoor Programs, prior to competing if questions exist. Competitors may not climb at FitRec the day of and the day prior to the event, in order to preserve integrity of the competition. We will be open to spectators and bustling with fun activity, so come to cheer your friends and get to know the BU outdoor recreation community.
