Poetry Reading Series: Eilean Ni Chuilleanain

Eilean Ni Chuilleanain is Ireland Professor of Poetry and teaches at Trinity College in Dublin. She has published 11 volumes of poetry, including most recently "The Boys of Bluehill," which was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best Collection. According to the Poetry Foundation, "Ni Chuilleanain uses transformative, sweeping metaphor to invert the structures of interior, natural, and spiritual realms." Her 1966 collection, "Acts and Monuments" (1966), won the Patrick Kavanagh Award. "The Magdalene Sermon" (1989), was selected as one of the three best poetry volumes of the year by the Irish Times/Aer Lingus Poetry Book Prize Committee.
