Boston University College of Fine Arts School of Theatre announces open auditions for The Human Comedy, a musical by Galt MacDermot (composer of Hair) and William Dumaresq based on the novel by William Saroyan. The Human Comedy will run December 12-18 at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts. The Human Comedy is the inaugural production of the Lane-Comley Musical Theatre Fund and is dedicated to the memory of Boston University's former first lady and special friend of the College of Fine Arts, Jasmine Chobanian. All BU students with an interest in music theatre are encouraged to audition by signing up outside the School of Theatre main office at the College of Fine Arts, 855 Commonwealth Avenue, Room 470. Prepare a one-minute musical theatre song, and please bring sheet music for the accompanist. Questions? Please contact Matthew Stern, music director, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
