  • Ends: 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 23, 2014
Brown Bag Lunch Series. "Building effective partnerships between Advisors, Students and Services." Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal civil rights law that prohibits sex-based discrimination in federally funded education programs and activities and requires universities to respond promptly and effectively to complaints of all kinds of sexual misconduct, including sexual harassment and sexual violence. All faculty and staff at BU are “mandatory reporters” of sexual misconduct and have an obligation to promptly report incidents or complaints. At this session you will learn about your responsibilities under Title IX, identify deputy Title IX coordinators in your area, and review information on the wealth of resources available to you.
