Legacy of the Cold War: Perspectives on Security, Cooperation, and Conflict

It is impossible to understand contemporary Russian foreign policy actions without understanding the legacy of the Cold War, the subject of a newly published book to which William Keylor, Professor of International Relations and History at Boston University, has contributed. "The Legacy of the Cold War" examines the world-wide effects of the Cold War on international security. Focussing on regions where the Cold War had the most enduring impact--the Euro-Atlantic area and East Asia--historians, political scientists, and international relations scholars explore alliances and other security measures during the Cold War and how they carry over into the twenty-first century.
