It is impossible to understand contemporary Russian foreign policy actions without understanding the legacy of the Cold War, the subject of a newly published book to which William Keylor, Professor of International Relations and History at Boston University, has contributed. Join us for a book talk with Keylor and fellow contributors, Vojtech Mastny, Coordinator of the Parallel History Project and the book's co-editor (with Professor of International Studies and Vice President of of China Foreign Affairs University) and Huang Yuxing, PhD candidate, Political Science, Boston College. "The Legacy of the Cold War" examines the world-wide effects of the Cold War on international security. Focussing on regions where the Cold War had the most enduring impact--the Euro-Atlantic area and East Asia--historians, political scientists, and international relations scholars explore alliances and other security measures during the Cold War and how they carry over into the twenty-first century.
