The Boston University Art Gallery is proud to host the opening reception for the African-American Studies conference. "African-American Music in World Culture: Art as Refuge and Strength in the Struggle for Freedom". The international conference hosted by Boston University, and will be held March 19, 2014-March 22, 2014. The opening reception will include a live Jazz band ensemble and a Gallery Talk on Making Connections: The Life and Art of Herbert Gentry led by Curator Rachel Tolano.
