Boston Musica Viva "Pinocchio and Midas"

  • Starts: 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 9, 2014
  • Ends: 5:00 pm on Sunday, February 9, 2014
This installment of BMV’s Annual Family Concert proudly continues the tradition of fostering and performing great new music for all ages. Michael Gandolfi’s Pinocchio, a family favorite oft performed across the country, tells a lesser-known tale of adventure and lessons learned from the iconic children’s book that was passed over in the Walt Disney film. Kate Salfelder, a student of Gandolfi with a burgeoning career, rounds out the program with a new work based on Nathaniel Hawthorne’s version of the classic King Midas story for BMV, narrator and PALS Children’s Chorus. Tickets are sold exclusively by BMV.
