Dr. Rasanthan is a Sri Lankan Tamil by birth, and is now a citizen of New Zealand. He is a physician, a former staff member of the People’s Health Movement, and after six years work on Social Determinants for Health at the WHO is now at UNICEF. He will be speaking on ""Social Determinants of Health: Reality and Results"" • Is it ethical that health is established by income, place of residence, nationality or place in society? • What would a healthy society look like? • What can churches, NGOs, communities do to make changes to enhance health? • Should they? This event is brought to you by the School of Theology and the Center for Global Christianity and Mission, as part of International Education Week, a university-wide celebration of BU's global engagement.
