Join ASIABU for a Tea Talk on the topic of religious resurgences in Taiwan as compared with the PRC. The talk given by Professor Weller will be followed with a discussion session. Light refreshments will be served. About Dr. Robert Weller, Professor and Chair of the Anthropology Department at Boston University: Dr. Robert Weller’s work concentrates on China and Taiwan in comparative perspective. His actual research topics, however, are eclectic—running from ghosts to politics, rebellions to landscape pain tings. Perhaps what unites everything is an interest in finding the limits to authority in all its settings. This event will be located in the Makechnie Room located inside the Howard Thurman Center, which is on the lower level of the George Sherman Union at Boston University. Please RSVP by Wednesday, October 10.
