Heine Discusses China’s COVID-19 Vacine Sales with NPR

Ambassador Jorge Heine, Research Professor at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, was interviewed by NPR on China’s COVID-19 vaccine production and vaccine sales in Latin America.

The episode of All Things Considered in which Heine appeared explored China’s current development of COVID-19 vaccines. It plans to inoculate millions of its citizens in the coming months, but is also trying to sell its vaccines to other countries. In the interview, Heine discussed China and Chile’s close relationship – China is Chile’s number one source of trade and foreign investment – and how this relationship will likely motivate the expedited sale of COVID-19 vaccines to the region.

A preview of the interview can be listened to below or on NPR‘s website.
