Pardee Graduate Council Hosts New Faculty Breakfast

The Pardee Graduate Council (PGC), the official graduate student organization of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, welcomed Pardee School students and new faculty at a breakfast on September 27, 2019.

The Pardee Graduate Council hosted new faculty members  Rachel Brule, Assistant Professor of Global Development Policy; Amb. Jorge HeineResearch Professor; Rachel Nolan, Assistant Professor of International Relations; Gen. Jack Weinstein, Professor of the Practice of International Security; and Pratistha Joshi Rajkarnikar, Lecturer, for bagels and coffee.

The new faculty spoke with students about their research, current events in international affairs, and current class offerings. Faculty and students discussed what brought them to the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies. The event allowed students to get to know the incoming professors in an intimate setting, and ask for advice on how to best navigate their graduate and post-graduate life.

The PGC organizes a variety of activities aimed at enriching graduate student life at the Pardee School including discussions with Pardee School faculty, film screenings and social events. Most recently, the PGC hosted a conversation over coffee and donuts with Pardee School Dean Adil Najam.
