Pardee Works: Briefing Senior American Policymakers

The Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University hosted Sunny J. Singh, a Recanati-Kaplan postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center and former Presidential Daily Briefer, for an April 4, 2019 talk as part of the school’s Pardee Works series.

Singh led an engaging conversation about the most coveted publication in the world, the President’s Daily Brief — a top-secret document produced and given each morning to the President of the United States that includes highly classified intelligence analysis, information about covert operations of the Central Intelligence Agency and reports from the most sensitive U.S. sources or those shared by allied intelligence agencies.

As a former Presidential Daily Briefer, Singh discussed his experiences briefing senior American policymakers as well as the evolution of the President’s Daily Brief.

Singh’s talk was held as part of Pardee Works “Security Week” organized by Pardee School Professor of the Practice of International Relations John D. Woodward, Jr. which also included two networking events with recruiters from the CIA.

Dr. Sunny J. Singh is currently a Recanati-Kaplan postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center. A former Presidential Daily Briefer, Sunny has extensive US government experience. His research interests include analyzing global events and their implications for U.S. national security.
