Pardee School Hosts Alumni Weekend Panel

The Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University was proud to participate in Alumni Weekend at Boston University , welcoming current students, alumni, and friends of the school on September 16, 2017. 

Alumni Weekend events at the Pardee School included “The World in Flux,” a panel discussion featuring Pardee School faculty discussing the current challenge of democracy. 

The discussion featured panelists including Houchang Chehabi, Professor of International Relations and History, Jeremy Menchik, Assistant Professor of International Relations, and Manjari Miller, Associate Professor of International Relations.

Following “The World in Flux” panel a meet and greet reception for current Pardee School students and alumni was held which provided an opportunity for interaction across a wide variety of fields. Attendees discussed the benefits of a Pardee School education in the work force, as well as the importance of creating valuable professional connections. 

The “World in Flux” panel, which has become an alumni weekend tradition at the Pardee School, in past years has focused on the June 2016 Brexit referendum and the global shifts in an increasingly complex world.
