VIDEO: Min Ye on India and China

Min Ye, Assistant Professor of International Relations at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, said that China and India would need time to develop trust in order to capitalize on the opportunity for closer relations.

“China and India are without doubt the largest markets in the world. Their markets are highly comparable and complementary,” Ye said. “But they do have very disputed long borders, and frictions can be exaggerated and become big nationalist problems. I hope to see agreements outlining detailed mechanisms of how to prevent national crises.”

Ye made these remarks and others in a recorded interview with CCTV America that was broadcast on May 15. You can watch the whole interview here.

Ye is also the Academic Coordinator of the Asian Studies Program. Learn more about her here.
