Prospects for Cancun: Professor Adil Najam speaks to the Economist

Prof. Adil Najam, the Director of the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future and Boston University Professor of International Relations and of Geography and the Environment, was interviewed by The Economist for a special pre-Cancun analysis of global climate change negotiations (click on image below to hear the interview).

Prof. Adil Najam whose research focusses on global governance, has been actively engaged in ongoing negotiations on global climate change, including at last year’s high profile negotiations at Copenhagen. Those negotiations are now set to continue at Cancun next week. In this The Economist podcast Prof. Najam reviews the likely pitfalls and potential of the upcoming negotiations, particularly in the context of how global climate change links to the development interests and challenges of the poorest countries and communities.
