Pardee Center Co-sponsors Webinar on Prospects for Climate Policy under President Biden Featuring Congressman Sean Casten

The Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future recently co-sponsored a webinar in the Institute for Sustainable Energy‘s (ISE) “Energy of the Future” series featuring special guest speaker U.S. Representative Sean Casten (IL-06). Rep. Casten, a scientist and clean energy entrepreneur, discussed the best and most likely path forward for Congressional climate and energy policy under the Biden administration. As a member of the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, Congressman Casten was instrumental in developing an ambitious report released last June, titled Solving the Climate Crisis: The Congressional Action Plan for a Clean Energy Economy and a Healthy, Resilient, and Just America.

Remarks by Rep. Casten were followed by audience Q&A. ISE Director Peter Fox-Penner moderated the discussion with ISE Executive Director Jacqueline Ashmore serving as a discussant.
