Pardee Center Hosts Summer Fellows Alumni Reception

On Tuesday, June 12, the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future hosted a networking reception for current and former participants in its Graduate Summer Fellows Program. The reception was attended by about 25 people, including current Fellows, alumni, Pardee Center affiliated researchers, and staff.

fosterSFlunchOn Wednesday, June 13, the Summer Fellows had a faculty lunch discussion with Prof. Susan Foster, a Professor in the School of Public Health and a Pardee Center Faculty Research Fellow. Prof. Foster reflected on her extensive career in global health, from serving in the Peace Corps in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Cameroon to working at the World Bank and the World Health Organization.

As a Pardee Center Faculty Research Fellow, Prof. Foster, along with Prof. Suchi Gopal, Prof. Les Kaufman, and Prof. Bruce Anderson, are exploring the connections between climate change and human health impacts in India and Cambodia to help inform policies that may be developed to reduce morbidity and mortality.
