Pardee Faculty Fellow Authors Article on Low Quality Medicine in Pakistan
Pardee Center Faculty Fellow Mohammed Zaman is the author of an April 8th article in The Express Tribune titled “The high price of low quality“. Citing the recent seizure of spurious medicine in Lahore as well as a number of other issues involving expired and illegal drug distribution, the article offers key points for effectively and comprehensively addressing the historic issue of low quality drugs in Pakistan’s hospital system.
Zaman is an associate professor in the department of Biomedical Engineering and Medicine at Boston University, and an active Faculty Fellow with the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future. He is also the lead convener of the most recent Pardee Center Task Force on Higher Education and Innovation in Emerging Economies, which will meet in late April, 2014.
