Pardee Center Research Fellow Prof. Kevin Gallagher contributeed a comment to the Inter-American Dialogue’s Latin American Advisor newsletter.

In discussing the question “What’s wrong with the system for protecting international investments?” Prof. Gallagher points out that “investment treaties should attract investment that facilitates economic development. The evidence of BITs in the Hemisphere suggests otherwise.”
