Eric Hillenberg, MMSc, PA-C joined the Physician Assistant Program at the Boston University School of Medicine in 2013. Mr. Hillenberg received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Boston College before attending the Yale School of Medicine Physician Associate Program where he obtained his Master of Medical Sciences degree. Since graduation, he has been working clinically in Cardiothoracic, Orthopedic Spine and General Surgery. Most recently, he practiced as a physician assistant at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery working primarily in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. For more than a decade, he has practiced in a wide variety of surgical/clinical settings as a surgical first assistant and an intensive care unit practitioner. In his role as the Director of Clinical Education, Mr. Hillenberg is responsible for vetting, assessing and maintaining clinical sites as well as educating and evaluating physician assistant student’s clinical skills. He expects to apply his clinical knowledge and expertise to guide the physician assistant student to become an integral part of the health care team.
