BIOGRAPHY

Susan White received her BA in Biology and Environmental Science from Wesleyan University and her MD from Tufts University School of Medicine. Her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She is board certified and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.  Her clinical practice in obstetrics and gynecology began at Mattapan Health Center and then moved to Nashua, New Hampshire.

Her involvement in Physician Assistant education began in 1999 when one of the medical assistants in her practice entered the first PA class at Notre Dame College. In 2007 she became a full-time faculty member and Assistant Professor at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences where she has served as the Program Director of the School of Physician Assistant Studies- Manchester/Worcester for the past three years. In 2009, she received the MCPHS University Division of Health Sciences Teacher of the Year Award and in 2010 won the Faculty Research and Scholarship Award at MCPHS University for a paper entitled “The effects of synchronized distance education on academic achievement in a physician assistant program.” Goldsmith CW, Miller KE, Lee L, Moreau T, White S, Massey SL. She has served on several national committees for the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA), currently serving on the Rotation Exam Review Committee.  Over the past few years she has presented posters, presentations and workshops at the PAEA Annual Education Forum focusing on women’s health curriculum and the use of distance education.
