Giving to Sargent Center
With a gift to Sargent Center you can help
honor, sustain, and build a rich tradition of outdoor education.
Since 1912, when Sargent Center first opened its doors as Sargent
Camp, the Boston University community—and beyond—has
gathered in our beautiful New Hampshire woodlands to learn in,
about, and for the outdoors.
We are asking for your help to ensure that new generations will
be able to continue the learning and growth that are found in special
places like Sargent Center.
No matter what method you choose or how much you give, your contribution
to Sargent Center will extend the magic of outdoor education to
over 10,000 people each year.
Currently, we are accepting gifts to three separate
funds with three equally worthy goals:
Discretionary Fund – Your
gift to the Discretionary Fund supports our educational programs
through stipends paid to seasonal instructors, program supplies
and equipment, upgrades to our cabins, dorms, meeting rooms and
grounds, and development of new program activities.
Giving Tree Scholarship Fund –The
Giving Tree Scholarship supplements camper tuition in our popular
Adventure Camp. As the fund grows, we hope to provide assistance
to participants in School Programs and youth conferences who
have difficulty meeting tuition costs.
Renovation Fund – An
exciting plan is underway to update many of the facilities at
Sargent Center. Currently, renderings are available of our planned
renovations for: the semi-dorm lodge and the dormitory cabin.

Those interested in making
a bequest to Sargent Center through their estate are encouraged
to contact a representative at Boston University’s Office
of Gift and Estate Planning.
