Facilitators
Sargent Center seeks professional adjunct facilitators who can
use high and low rope challenge course activities to meet our clients’ teambuilding
goals. We seek individuals with documented experience facilitating
adventure-based or experiential programs. Candidates should be
at ease with and enthusiastic about groups of different ages and
backgrounds, especially groups of college students.
Working as a facilitator is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the
beauty of Sargent Center’s woodland
setting while participating in fulfilling and exciting programming.
Ideal candidates can:
- Design an optimal experience sequence
- Utilize metaphors as a learning tool
- Frame activities
- Help participants reflect on their experience to foster growth
Season of Work
Sargent Center hires adjunct facilitators on an on-going basis.
By maintaining a pool of experts, we allow you flexibility in choosing
the type and number of programs you lead throughout the year. Our
full-time coordinator will work with you to determine when you
will be with a group. With the exception of June through August,
most Sargent Center programs run on Saturday and Sunday. We are
busiest
during June, and mid-August through Labor Day. We are unique among
peer sites in running our low and high ropes courses year-round.
Flexibility in Designing Your Program
We want you to be able to
design a program sequence that works with your strengths to deliver
the best possible experience for people in your group. To help
you do this, we give you complete adventure notes containing background
information, goals, expectations, past participant comments, and
past facilitator comments.
