Adventure QuestHow to Register

The Early Bird Discount applies to registrations postmarked or fax time-stamped by
March 11, 2008.

Please contact us prior to registering if your child has special physical, mental, or emotional needs.

  1. Complete the two-page registration form. Please complete one form per session per child.

Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis—we advise you to register early, and to indicate a second and third choice on your registration form.

Please note: Campers are welcome to enroll in more than one session of Adventure Camp throughout the summer. However, there are no provisions for campers to stay in camp between sessions.

  2. Include your deposit or payment.

A non-refundable deposit of $150 per session is required at the time of registration. The deposit is applied toward the total camp fee.

    Please note:
The balance of the total camp fee is due on or before April 18, 2008. No camper with an outstanding balance may attend camp. Sorry, there are no exceptions.

Payment must be made by money order, check, or credit card. Please make checks and money orders payable to Boston University Sargent Center. We charge a $25 fee for each returned check and new payment must be made by money order, certified bank check, or credit card. Rock Climbing

Acceptance Packet

We mail an acceptance packet with all necessary information and forms to campers when your registration is processed. We must receive all forms for camper participation and program fee balances by April 18, 2008, to ensure registration. After April 18, any outstanding balances or forms will result in cancellation of your child’s registration; a child on the waiting list will fill his or her space. An application packet contains the following documents:

Refund Policy

A refund, minus the $150 deposit, is given if written notice of cancellation is received by Sargent Center at least six weeks before the camp session for which your child is registered. If illness occurs within the six-week deadline, a written request for a refund, accompanied by a doctor’s note stating that camp attendance is medically inadvisable, must be received by Sargent Center before a refund (less a $75 processing fee) is issued.

Guilding CrewNo refund or reduction in fee will be made for a child who arrives late, leaves early, or attends only part of a session. Campers not accepted because of lack of space are notified, and all payment, including the $150 deposit, is returned. In all other cases, the $150 deposit is non refundable. Cancellation of your camper’s registration must be made in writing.

Cabin Buddy Requests

In making cabin assignments, we strive to create a positive community and foster new friendships. If your child and one friend of the same age and gender register for the same program and want to be cabin buddies, a mutual request by both families must be made on each registration form. Forms from both families must be received in the same envelope or faxed together for the requests to be guaranteed. If registrations are sent separately, we will honor the request if possible. Unfortunately, we are unable to honor multiple buddy requests.

Arrival and Departure

Arrival time for all campers is from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on the first day of the session. Departure is from 2 to 3 p.m. on the last day of the session.

Program Equipment

NH RocksSargent Center provides all specialized program equipment (tents, backpacks, canoe and kayak bags, etc.) with one exception: Campers in specialized mountain biking programs must bring their own bikes and helmets. All other campers may bring their own mountain bikes or use one of ours. All campers are required to bring the appropriate clothing and personal gear described on the equipment list.

Financial Aid

We maintain a campership fund to provide partial financial assistance to campers who otherwise would not be able to attend camp. Campership awards are need-based and available on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend applying for financial aid as soon as possible because funds are limited. The $150 deposit must accompany the registration form even if you are applying for a campership award. If our financial aid does not meet your needs, your entire deposit will be refunded. This is the only exception to the refund policy. Click here to download the financial aid application.

Health Requirements

New Hampshire state law requires any child attending camp to have had a physical examination within one year of camp. Sargent Center requires that every child must have a health history and permission form completed and signed by a parent or guardian. A health and permission form is included in the acceptance packet. We suggest scheduling necessary medical appointments now to meet the April 18th deadline.
