eQuilibrium Solutions was co-founded by BU alumnus Gopal Nagarajan to address the needs of fortune 500 companies to track and monetize their carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions. In forming the new company, Gopal, who holds an MS in Business Administration from BU’s Metropolitan College, returned to the university to launch his new venture from the foundation of the Business Incubation Program.
While in the incubator, eQuilibrium Solutions grew from initial concept to develop an operational business model with software products and major corporations as lead customers.
Good Start Genetics joins the BU Business Incubation Program; wins funding from Massachusetts Life Sciences Center’s Accelerator Program
Good Start Genetics, a new-start molecular diagnostics company developing a low cost pre-pregnancy test for multiple genetic disorders, has joined the BU Business Incubator Program. The company is a spin-out from Harvard University and will be collaborating with faculty at BU while providing educational internship opportunities to students. GSG aims to offer a sequencing-based test that is more accurate, more comprehensible, and more affordable than today’s standard of care.
The company recently raised funding from the first round of awards made by the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center via the Accelerator Program.
The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC) is tasked with implementing the Massachusetts Life Sciences Act, a ten-year, $1billion initiative that was signed into law in June of 2008.
