Submit an Idea

If you’re a member of the BU community and want help with developing an idea, IP protection, funding or partnerships, you can submit your idea and relevant information to our SharePoint portal. This will provide us with a starting point to help you.

The Idea submission process should only take about 15 minutes. Follow these steps to submit a new idea using our SharePoint Portal.

Click to get to SharePoint:


1. Log on to our SharePoint site: and enter your AD login (example: ad\username) (or AD2) and password (Try the password for your Windows login, if that does not work then try your Kerberos password).

2. The site you see should look similar to this:


3. Click Submit Idea on the OTDS page


4. Fill out the form in the window that pops up


5. Click Submit

After your Idea is received by OTD you will receive a confirmatory e-mail within 15 minutes.
