NIH Commons
- Investigators should link to NIH’s eRA Commons to view their assembled grant application package and confirm that it has been processed correctly by the system. Commons also allows PIs the ability to access summary statements and Notices of Award, and submit just-in-time information, no-cost extension requests; and eSNAPs. The xTrain module of Commons is used for the preparation and submission of statement of appointment forms and termination notices for the institutional research training, fellowship, education, and career development awards. In addition, the Internet Assisted Review module allows reviewers to submit critiques for the applications they have been asked to review.
- PIs and others wishing to use the Commons system to establish an account, affiliate with BU, or transfer an affiliation from another university, must be registered through OSP. Email the contact listed below, providing first name, last name, BU email, university position (PI; Assistant; Pre-doc; Post-doc; or Trainee) and whether you have ever had an eRA Commons account prior to BU. If so, provide your previous Commons ID.
- CRC faculty should contact Alex Effgen at 617-353-4365 or abeffgen@bu.edu to register.
- MED faculty should contact OSP at 617-638-4600 or Marilyn Ledbetter-Johnson
