Boston University faculty and staff may contact OSP for assistance in locating external sources of funding for research. Other resources on campus include the Development Office, the Office of Fellowships and Scholarships, and the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program.

To keep the University community informed about funding opportunities and other grant-related developments, OSP distributes detailed descriptions of individual programs via email to appropriate deans, directors, department chairs, and interested faculty via “Funding Opportunity” (FO) and For Your Information (FYI) announcements. All FOs and FYIs are posted and archived on this web site. Anyone interested in receiving FO and FYI announcements should send an e-mail message to ospinfo@bu.edu. The e-mail should include the faculty member's department and on-campus address, as well as a brief description of his or her research interests.

OSP also maintains a substantial resource library of reference materials on funding sources, proposal development, and grant administrative regulations as well as files with detailed information about individual grant programs not readily available on the web. This reference library is open to the University community during normal business hours.
