AGENCY: National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)
PROGRAM: Scholarly Editions and Translations Grants
OBJECTIVES: This program supports the preparation of editions of pre-existing texts and documents that are currently inaccessible or available in inadequate editions. Projects must be undertaken by a team of at least one editor and one other staff member. Eligible projects include but are not limited to: 1) editions of significant literary, philosophical, and historical materials; 2) musical notation; and 3) editions and translations of foreign language materials.
ELIGIBILTY RESTRICTIONS: Applicants must be U.S. citizens, or foreign nationals who have been living in the United States or its jurisdictions for at least the three years prior to the time of application.
DEADLINE: October 29, 2009
FUNDING INFORMATION: Awards are made for one to three years and normally range from $50,000 to $100,000 per year.
