AGENCY: Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF)

PROGRAM: Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF) Fellowship   

OBJECTIVES: This program provides funding to exceptional, young scientists and researchers to carry out independent, leading-edge research in Singapore. Proposals in the following clusters are considered: Computer Science (Infocomm Technologies and Interactive Digital Media), Engineering (All branches), Life Sciences and Natural/Physical Sciences. Appointees would be offered tenure-track faculty positions at any of our prestigious universities or related research organizations.

ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS: Scientists and researchers under the age of 40 as of August 31, 2011, with a PhD degree in any discipline of science and technology are eligible to apply.

DEADLINE: August 31, 2011

FUNDING INFORMATION: The NRF will provide up to $2.4 million over five years, and a separate salary package which will be equivalent to that of an Assistant Professor’s remuneration package in Singapore’s autonomous universities.
