The Boston University Office of Rental Property Management offers many services that you may not find through private landlords.
Apartment Locations
All Boston University owned apartments are conveniently located on campus. In most cases only a ten minute walk to most Charles River Campus facilities and close in proximity to many Boston’s cultural and entertainment centers as well as public transportation.
The Boston University Police
All apartments owned by Boston University are patrolled by the Boston University Police as well as the Boston or Brookline Police dependant upon location. Boston University is situated in an urban location and your safety and peace of mind are paramount. The Boston University Police offer many programs aimed at helping to ensure your safety. While the University is not immune to the problems of urban life its nice to know there are at least two full service police departments patrolling the campus. Fire Safety

24 Hour Emergency Maintenance
The Physical Plant or the familiar term of the Facilities Management (FM) Department provides a 24 hour emergency maintenance service for after hour maintenance emergencies. Maintenance requests during regular business hours should be telephoned into out maintenance office at (617) 353-4102. After hour emergencies should be telephone into the Physical Plant”s Emergency Desk at (617) 353-2105. For more information regarding the Physical Plant please click on the link.
Superintendents
Are available after 5 p.m. and on week-ends to assist you with lockouts or to provide any assistance that he or she can provide in case of emergency. Please be sure to contact the Boston University Police first at (617) 353-2121 when any emergency arises. Superintendents are also available to provide your keys for after hour or week-end move-ins. Our office should always be contacted in advance of after hour move-ins or move-outs in order to facilitate the process. Names and contact number are located in the Staff & Contact section. Please note that there is a $50.00 charge for after hour lock outs services.
Recycling
Boston University has provided recycling bins through out the Boston University Charles River Campus. Please visit the Recycling Office to see where the closest recycling container is for you!
