Thank you for your interest in 580 Commonwealth Avenue. Demand for apartments in the building is far greater than the number of apartments expected to be available for summer/fall 2009 occupancy.
We have begun the application process. As you may be aware we have been maintaining an extensive wait list for full time Boston University graduate students interested in leasing an apartment in 580 Commonwealth Avenue. Those not on the wait list will be placed on the wait list upon receipt of their applications. Applications will be processed in accordance with the applicant’s place on the wait list.

We will begin offering apartments to prospective tenants in accordance with their placement on the wait list. As mentioned above, available apartments are limited and demand has greatly exceeded supply therefore we are unable to guarantee placement in the building.
Please note that only applications from full time Boston University graduate students will be accepted. Graduate students from the Medical Campus are not permitted to lease an apartment at 580 Commonwealth Avenue. Medical Campus graduate students are asked to see the Harrison Court section of the website for more information.
The Boston University Office of Rental Property Management has many additional University owned on-campus apartments other than 580 Commonwealth Avenue. These apartments are not on the website and are renting quickly. We suggest that you contact us by telephone at (617) 353-4101 with questions or to schedule an appointment to view these apartments. Please note that apartments other than 580 Commonwealth Avenue are leased on a first come-first served basis and will not be leased via telephone or email and must be viewed prior to leasing. It should be noted that full time Boston University Medical Campus graduate students are eligible for these other Charles River Campus Apartments. Availability is limited and subject to change.
