MAKING RESERVATIONS FOR UNIVERSITY ORIENTATION
University Orientation is open only to students who have decided to
register as full-time students at Boston University by paying their
enrollment deposit. If you have submitted your deposit, you must set-up your Boston University Academic Computing System account, ACS account. You may then proceed
to register for University Orientation. Please note that reservations
are filled upon a first come first serve basis, so please register
as soon as possible. Attendance is required for all entering undergraduate
students on Thursday and Friday.
A $200 University Orientation fee is automatically included in your first-semester bill. This fee will appear on your Fall Semester Bill. The fee covers the cost of housing and linens in a University residence on Thursday (which is available only for Boston University incoming students), lunch and dinner on Thursday, breakfast on Friday, and all University Orientation programs and materials. Please note that you are required to stay on campus the Thursday night of your University Orientation session (sessions 1-7).
University Orientation begins at 7:30 am on Thursday and concludes by 3 pm on Friday. Because the University Orientation session begins early, we encourage you to stay on campus Wednesday night before your session. You can reserve a room for Wednesday night ($30, sessions 1-7) when registering for University Orientation. This amount covers the room fee and a continental breakfast. In addition, Common Ground and city excursions are planned in Boston on Wednesday for students arriving early, so that they can become acquainted with the City and meet fellow students.
All new students who have paid deposits must register for University Orientation.
