Respiratory Protection (Fit Testing)

In workplaces that require the use of a respirator (e.g. exposures to Tuberculosis, Influenza, etc.) employees are required to receive training and fit testing to ensure the respirator provides the adequate protection necessary to prevent exposure. An N-95 respirator is the most commonly used respirator, which would require training and fit testing. Prior to receiving training and fit testing, employees must complete a medical evaluation with Occupational Health to ensure they are healthy enough to wear a respirator. Please contact Occupational Health at 617-353-6630 to schedule a medical evaluation.
