Welcome to the Research and Safety Training Site

From lab safety to dive safety certification, ladder safety to research ethics, this site hosts comprehensive training information for all offices and committees that are part of the Office of Research Compliance (ORC).  The ORC Research Training Site offers a comprehensive list of all trainings provided for Boston University and Boston Medical Center, at both the South End and Charles River campuses.   Our goal is to offer the BU/BMC community a website which provides a one-stop shop of information about each training program, schedules of upcoming trainings, and the ability to register and/or  take the training online.

The site is divided into the following sections:

• Animal Care Training for both the BU Laboratory Animal Science Center (LASC) and Laboratory Animal Care Facility (LACF) based on which campus you work, including LASC New Research Orientation, and an extensive AALAS Learning Library
• Environmental Health and Safety Training for Research Safety, Radiation Protection, Campus and Clinical Safety, Controlled Substances, and Environmental Management, including Laboratory Safety Training for Researchers
