Financial Interest Disclosure Training
Who needs training:
Training is required for all those involved in the design, conduct, or reporting of BMC research or PHS-funded BU research.
When to train:
Once every four years while engaged in BMC research or PHS-funded BU research.
Where to train:
The training is hosted on Blackboard, and all those who take it must be enrolled in the Blackboard course first. An invitation to the Financial Interest Disclosure Training for investigators will be sent directly from the conflict of interest unit to the researcher after the disclosure form is received. If you already have a BU ID, and have registered for Blackboard at learn.bu.edu, you may be able to access the training without invitation. Search for “Financial Interest Disclosure Training” after navigating to learn.bu.edu. A score of 80 is required to pass and you have an unlimited number of tries to achieve that score.

COI Policy Training for Investigators
Training is required (once every four years) and hosted at Blackboard Learn. A score of 80 is required to pass.
Audience: For all BMC research and PHS-funded research at BU
Teaching Medium: Online. You can view the slides from the training: COI Policy Training for Investigators.
You can enroll yourself in the training course in order to take it. See “Prerequisite” below.
Prerequisite: (1) If you do not have access to Blackboard Learn, go here; (2) Then, go to Blackboard Learn; and (3) Navigate to the Financial Interest Disclosure Training module by searching for it by name (Financial Interest Disclosure Training) or course ID (00cwr_efindtraining).
For Non-PHS-Funded Research on the Charles River Campus Only
Training is not required.
