Faculty Review Committee on Conflicts of Interest
Boston University has two faculty review committees on research conflicts of interest. These committees meet once a month to review investigator disclosures with a potential conflict of interest. The Charles River Campus committee reviews disclosures from investigators on the Charles River Campus and the Medical Campus committee reviews disclosures from investigators on the Medical Campus and Boston Medical Center.
Each committee advises the associate vice president for research compliance as to whether a conflict of interest exists and, if so, what restrictions or conditions should be imposed to eliminate, reduce, or manage the conflict.
