Research Information Management System (RIMS)

RIMS is designed to provide researchers with a single location to submit, modify, or renew all their Research Compliance information including protocol approval requests, hazardous materials inventories, personal rosters and training records, and equipment lists as required by regulatory agencies and campus oversight policies.

Programs

Because multiple operational units are responsible for the overall effort to manage potential risk, this website will help researchers and staff find the offices responsible for regulations and policy making.

Sponsored Research at BU

As steward of the University’s externally funded research portfolio, Sponsored Programs is responsible for ensuring that all research proposals and projects adhere to Boston University’s academic and research policies and meet its obligations to external sponsors. It supports investigators who have or plan to apply for external sources of support for their research, departmental administrators who assist with proposal preparation or award administration, and department chairs and deans who supervise research-active units.
