As a Boston University Online student, you will need two separate—and very important—passwords. Kerberos password: Your Kerberos password will allow you to access your Boston University records—your grades, account information, e-mail account—on the Student Link and throughout University offices. When you have been accepted into a Boston University Online course or program, you will be contacted with instructions on how to set up your Kerberos password. Please keep this 10-digit password in a safe place, and make sure it remains confidential at all times. If you need assistance changing your Kerberos, or you have misplaced it, the following information will direct you on how to proceed: Note: Only degree- and certificate-seeking students will receive a Kerberos password. Non-degree students will not be required to provide a Kerberos password during registration, account settlement, or grade requests. Blackboard/Learning Management System password: You’ll need this password to log in to your course. It is entirely separate from the Kerberos password. This password will be sent to you one or two days before your class begins If you are a new student: You may want to visit the Getting Started page, which will walk you through the beginning steps of joining the Boston University Online community. |
