Requirements: The online Doctorate in Music Education consists of 11 courses (44 credits), which can be completed continuously in 5.5 semesters. In addition to the 11 courses and qualifying examinations, students will attend an on-campus residency requirement of approximately one week to begin the final DMA course. This course is the writing of a dissertation (4 credits) that can take one to two years to complete. Students in the online DMA can expect the entire length of the program to be at least three years.
